Syracuse falls to Wake Forest in ACC Tournament on last-second three-pointer

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (17-15) had their season end on Wednesday afternoon with a 77-74 loss to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (19-13) in the second round of the ACC Tournament.

With the game tied at 74, Wake Forest’s Daivien Williamson knocked down a three-pointer with just a few ticks left on the clock to give the Demon Deacons the victory.


Judah Mintz and Benny Williams each netted 18 points to lead the Orange. Williams also notched a career-high 11 rebounds, recording his third double-double of the season. Jesse Edwards poured in 12 points and secured 10 rebounds for his 14th double-double, while Chris Bell added 11.
