The Garber Automotive Group has recently acquired Farnsworth Chevrolet and Randall Buick GMC Cadillac in Canandaigua, expanding its reach in the Rochester region. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
The newly acquired dealerships have been reopened as Garber Randall Chevrolet and Garber Randall GMC/Garber Randall Cadillac. The Randall Farnsworth Auto Group, a long-standing family-owned business based in Canandaigua, has been operating for over a century.
With the acquisition, Garber now has a total of seven dealerships in the Rochester region, including Garber Honda, Acura of Rochester, and Porsche Audi of Rochester in Henrietta, Garber Chevrolet Subaru in Webster, and Volvo Cars Rochester in Rochester.
Randy Farnsworth, the former owner of Farnsworth Chevrolet and Randall Buick GMC Cadillac, expressed his belief that Garber was a “natural fit” given their “history, longevity, and reputation as a family-owned business.”
Randy Farnsworth will continue to serve as the executive manager of Garber Randall Chevrolet, while Alexandra Farnsworth will serve as the executive manager of Garber Randall Buick GMC and Garber Randall Cadillac.
Richard J. Garber, the president of Garber Management Group, expressed his excitement about partnering with the Farnsworth family, saying that their “commitment to the staff, customers, and community are perfectly aligned.” Garber looks forward to working with Randy and Alexandra to continue serving the Canandaigua community for many years to come.
