Police say they’re investigating after an incident involving a stolen vehicle in the city of Ithaca.
Around 12:20 a.m. on Monday, February 13th police located a stolen vehicle being driven around Hook Place.
An officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled. The vehicle eventually came to rest in a field off Haller Boulevard.
When the vehicle stopped, the driver fled on foot. They were apprehended a short distance later.
The driver was identified as 33-year-old Brittany Walls, of Ithaca. She was charged with criminal possession of stolen property; unlawfully fleeing a police officer; obstruction; and other vehicle and traffic violations.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
