Leonard’s Express, a leading transportation services provider, has been named one of North America’s top 20 fleets to drive for by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and CarriersEdge. This is the second consecutive year that the company has received this recognition for its commitment to providing excellent work environments for its professional truck drivers and employees.

165 fleets were nominated for this year’s Best Fleets program, with 95 finalists selected before being narrowed down to the final 20 award winners. The selection process evaluated a variety of categories, including total compensation, health benefits, professional development opportunities, and career advancement, among others. Feedback from drivers and independent contractors was also taken into consideration.

According to Leonard’s Express driver Keith Buchanan, the company’s accessibility to leadership is one of its standout qualities. “I can reach out to senior leaders at any time and I know I will be heard,” Buchanan said in a recent episode of Leading the Way at Leonard’s, a podcast for truck drivers and transportation and logistics professionals.

Shannon Struzik, VP of People and Development for Leonard’s Express, emphasized the importance of staying connected with drivers, saying, “Our driver advisory board helps us keep a pulse on what matters most to drivers.” The company’s dedicated staff and commitment to improvement are what make Leonard’s Express a great place to work for all employees, Struzik added.

The top 20 fleets will be honored at the annual TCA Convention in March, with the award ceremony taking place on March 6th at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
