ESL Federal Credit Union plans to open a corporate office in Farmington in spring 2027, creating expansion space for more than 150 employees.
Renovations have begun on the 70,000-square-foot building at 1100 Corporate Drive, according to an ESL news release. The office will not offer branch services, but the property's drive-up ATM will remain available.
Renovation adds training and employee space
The ESL Finger Lakes Corporate Office will include four training rooms, a wellness room, a cafe, meeting and collaboration spaces, and a fitness center. ESL said the project is expected to support local contractors.
ESL has owned the property for nearly 20 years and previously used it for information technology and training. The expansion follows its January 2026 acquisition of Generations Bank.
President and CEO Tom Rogers said the project will provide room for future growth while maintaining a collaborative workplace and strengthening relationships in the Finger Lakes.
Rochester headquarters will remain
ESL's corporate headquarters will stay at 225 Chestnut St. in downtown Rochester. Member service at all locations will continue uninterrupted during the renovation and opening process.
The credit union serves more than 465,000 members and 18,800 businesses through 33 branches and its telephone and digital services. It employs more than 1,000 people in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region and holds more than $10.8 billion in assets.
ESL said its member dividends have totaled more than $350 million over 30 consecutive years since 1996. Its Community Impact initiative has distributed more than $182 million in grants since 2018.
