Deputies say a 27-year-old was arrested after stealing a vehicle, crashing it, and giving officers false identification after the wreck.
Nicholas Ingersoll, 27, of Beaver Dams was arrested after a two month investigation into a stolen vehicle crash and fire in Canton.
According to deputies, Ingersoll stole a vehicle, crashed it, and then supplied deputies with false identification.
He was arrested and charged with grand larceny, criminal mischief, and making a false written statement.
Ingersoll is currently incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail on unrelated charges.
