A Sodus man who was convicted of assaulting a police officer during an arrest in 2021 has been sentenced to a short prison term, according to Wayne County District Attorney Mike Calarco.
Norman Vanderbilt, 65, was sentenced by County Judge Rick Healy to three years in prison followed by two years of parole.
The charges stem from an incident in August 2021 in Sodus, where Vanderbilt was also convicted of misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and resisting arrest.
The conviction was reached by a jury last year.
