A Seneca Falls man has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the death of a 3-year-old that happened in May 2018.
Prosecutors told the Finger Lakes Times that Donald Bovio pleaded guilty to the Class B violent felony, which is punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
Bovio was accused and convicted of the 2018 death of Panagiotis Stephanides-Vacchino in 2019. However, an appeals court vacated the second-degree murder conviction.
The most-recent conviction, which meets all legal requirements necessary to hold up, is expected to have a sentence of 18-25 years.
The incident took place at Hunter’s Run apartments on Peterman Road.
