A 49-year-old man from Savona, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.
John Fadden, a registered Level 3 sex offender, had pleaded guilty to the charges in October 2021.
In March 2021, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received reports from Yahoo! Inc. that Fadden had uploaded around 185 image files of suspected child pornography.
In October 2021, investigators searched Fadden’s residence and found 278 images of child pornography on his electronic devices.
Fadden has been convicted in the past of sexual abuse of a child, and in 2013, for failing to report a change of address as a sex offender.
The case was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan K. McGuire and investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and New York State Police.
