In the early morning hours of January 15th a fatal structure fire occurred at 1811 Hornby Road in the Town of Orange.
The Beaver Dams Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and discovered a body during the fire suppression efforts.
The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident. The identity of the victim has not been released to the public at this time, pending positive identification. The Schuyler County Fire Investigation team and New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control are assisting in the investigation.
No further information has been released about the cause of the fire or the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death.
The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with any information to contact the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
