A public hearing for a Romulus solar farm is set for January 18th at 2 p.m.
The Seneca County Industrial Development Agency’s incentive package for Kanagy Solar Farm LLC will be the subject of that session.
The final package could be voted on at the IDA’s February meeting.
Depending on public input, Kanagy could receive a 15-year payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement, or PILOT, as well as an exemption from mortgage recording tax and break on sales taxes.
Kanagy is gearing up to build a 3 megawatt solar facility on Route 414 in Romulus.
A cost-benefit analysis of the package shows a net positive for the county of $6.8 million over 15 years.
