Voters in the south Seneca County villages of Ovid and Interlaken will have the opportunity to elect trustees on March 21st.
In Ovid, the terms of village board members James Rappleye and Gary Covert will expire this year, and both seats are four-year terms. Independent, non-political party candidates are circulating petitions now, and these petitions with the required number of valid signatures must be submitted to Village Clerk Cathy Kerns between February 7th and 14th.
Voting will take place from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Ovid Fire Department Community Room.
In Interlaken, voters will elect two trustees to four-year terms. Up for election this year are the seats held by Peter Garcia and Joseph Pepper, who also serve as street commissioner and sewer commissioner, respectively. Independent, non-political party candidates are circulating petitions now and must be submitted to Village Clerk Nancy Swartwood between February 7th and 14th.
Voting will take place from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 21st in village hall.
