No hearing took place for the smoke shop in Auburn that has been subject to nuisance complaints and a police investigation.
The City of Auburn’s Nuisance Abatement Committee was set to have a hearing on the Auburn Smoke Shop, but it did not take place.
The business is located at 67 Franklin Street. Aside from resident complaints, police executed a search warrant there – finding more than 18,000 illegal items. This included untaxed cigarettes and marijuana.
The operators of the business and property, Zakarya Alharbi and Mohamad Algamal, were arrested on charges stemming from the search.
A hearing was slated for December 21st, but due to the smoke shop vacating by late-February – it was not held.
