Auburn City Council has another candidate seeking an open seat next year.

Auburn School Board Member Dr. Rhoda Overstreet-Wilson will not seek another term there, according to the Auburn Citizen. Instead, she informed the Cayuga County Democratic Committee about her intent to run for one-of-two open City Council seats opening up next year.

There are now three Democrats in the race for those two open seats. Cayuga County Legislator Christina Calarco and retired Auburn firefighter Terry Winslow.

The party can designate two to run, but whoever is not selected can force a primary if they so choose and gather enough petition signatures.
