Yates County Administrator Nonie Flynn will be retiring this spring.
The legislature approved a resolution at a meeting this week to create, and fill, a full-time county administrator position that would allow for succession planning.
The goal, legislators hope, is a seamless transition from the current administrator to next.
Flynn succeeded Bob Lawton in 2018 on an interim basis and was named administrator in 2020.
