Clifton Springs community comes together for missing student in France: Family hopes he will be found safe

The Clifton Springs community rallied over the weekedn to pray for St. John Fisher student Ken Deland, who went missing in late-November in France.

His friends and family who attended the vigil held at United Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon said they still have hope.

Ken has been missing since November 27th. That’s when his family last heard from him, as he was boarding a train.

“We don’t want their hope to die,” Rev. Brian Fellows told News10NBC on Saturday. “I believe wherever he is that all is holy and all is sacred is with him and that it brings him comfort and peace.”

His studies abroad end December 17th. His visa expires in January. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call (585) 385-8025.
