On August 1, a 6 month old infant, Denny Robinson Jr., was found dead with a heroin bag inside of his mouth.
According to CNY Central, that death was at 755 Jay Street in Rochester. The home is now boarded up but was once allegedly part of a major drug ring run by Wayne McDaniels.
The investigation calls the drug ring the McDaniels Drug Trafficking Organization and has named seven people involved.
McDaniels was named as the leader, and Travis Harris, Willie and Ronnie Spirles, Darren Lofton, and two other names were all listed as being part of the operation. They were accused of combining, conspiring and possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine.
There were numerous other addresses listed in the investigation including homes on Otis Street, Lorimer Street, and other areas of the city. At one point police installed a camera outside of the Jay Street house to record drug deals.
Four of the seven individuals are currently in custody. Willie Spirles and the two unnamed individuals are not in custody and their whereabouts are unknown.
