Syracuse falls to Bryant on last-second shot, 73-72 (full coverage)

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (3-3) erased an 11-point first-half deficit, but fell to the Bryant Bulldogs (5-1), 73-72, on a buzzer-beater Saturday evening at the JMA Wireless Dome.

Bryant’s Sherif Gross-Bullock hit a floater in the lane with one second left, pushing Bryant past the Orange.

In the first half, Syracuse guard Judah Mintz and Bryant guard Doug Edert were ejected after exchanging slaps. Several other players and assistant coaches were tossed for leaving the bench.

Following the ejections, Justin Taylor came off the bench and netted a game-high 25 points to lead the Orange. Two others finished in double figures as Chris Bell scored 14 and Jesse Edwards added 12.
