Ithaca seeks alderperson to fill fifth ward vacancy

The City of Ithaca is looking to fill a vacancy.

Now that Laura Lewis will become mayor, her fifth ward alderperson post will be vacated.

Whoever fills that vacancy will remain in the seat until December 31, 2023.

They would have to seek election to a full-term next year, if they so chose.

Anyone interested in applying to fill the vacancy can email [email protected]. Interested parties should send a resume and letter of interest.

Applications are due to December 14th.
