Sabres activate Mattias Samuelsson, assign Riley Sheahan to Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres made a couple roster moves ahead of Tuesday’s road game against the Montreal Canadiens.

The team activated defenseman Mattias Samuelsson from injured reserve and assigned forward Riley Sheahan to the Rochester Americans.

Samuelsson has missed the last 13 games with a lower-body injury. In five games this season, he has posted seven shots on goal, 11 blocks, and 11 hits.

Sheahan returns to the minors after appearing in just two games.

The Sabres will try to snap their eight-game skid on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
