The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Arcadia woman following an investigation into a domestic dispute.
Ashley Jandreau-Szymonek, age 34, is accused of being highly-intoxicated while attempting to take care of her young child.
The child was one-year-old, according to deputies, who said Jandreau-Szymonek refused help from family and locked herself in a camper with the child.
Deputies said Jandreau-Szymonek lost grip of the child while she was holding it and speaking with them. As result, the child face-planted on the couch.
Fortunately, the child did not fall further.
She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and will answer the charge at a later date.
