Police say a Hornell man has been arrested following a child abuse investigation involving CPS and the Hornell Police Department.
Robert Taft, 25, of Hornell was arrested after a complaint of child abuse. The victim was under 5, according to police.
In this case, police were alerted after the child was taken to St. James Hospital during the early-morning hours on October 23rd.
The extent of injuries were not made clear by police, who said Taft was charged with two counts of felony assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
It’s alleged that in a separate incident he caused a brain injury to a child under 5.
He was taken to the Steuben County Jail and held without bail.
