Human remains were found in the town of Elmira in Chemung County.
The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office is currently working to identify the remains.
Skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area located off of Bowlby Road. They were found several yards into the woods, according to WENY News.
The clothing found at the scene could suggest that the person was dressed for warmer weather. Due to the condition of the body, age and sex could not be determined.
The t-shirt looked like it may have been black and black Russel Athletic french terry jogger pants were with the body with a 28 to 30 inch inseam.
Black Kizik sneakers were located with the body in a size 10.5.
