The Walgreens store located at 314 Genesee Street is closing on November 15th.
The company told The Citizen that while the decision was difficult, it boiled down to being able to meet the needs of patients and customers in communities.
For Walgreens that means creating the right network of stores in the right locations.
Customers of that drug store will have their files transferred over to the Grant Avenue location.
That Walgreens store was previously a Rite Aid, until the chain was acquired and merged. Walgreens had already shut down a drug store directly across the road.
