Deputies: Rochester woman ticketed for DWI in Wayne County, found to have BAC more than twice legal limit

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Rochester woman following a vehicle and traffic complaint in Lyons over the weekend.

According to a news release, Sylvie Wawia, 35, of Rochester was ticketed for parking on a highway, DWI, and driving with a BAC over 0.08%.


She’s accused of parking in the southbound lane of Route 14. Upon investigation it was determined her BAC was 0.19%.

Deputies were assisted by New York State Police.
