The weather has been cold and dreary this week, but this weekend a meteor shower will be viewable.

Skies started to clear up overnight on Thursday, and the weekend is expected to see the same.
According to CNY Central, this means it will be perfect weather to view the Orionid meteor shower.

Overnight Thursday gave people a prime view of the shower. The peak time to watch was at 2 a.m.
The rate of expected meteors per hour was 10-20. At 39 degrees the sky was clear.
If you missed the shower between late Thursday evening and early Friday morning, you may not have missed your chance.
If you look close to the Orion constellation late on Friday or Saturday night, you could still catch a glimpse.
This shower is viewable throughout the U.S.
