  • Staff Report

Deputies arrested a 44-year-old Fremont resident in Steuben County following a larceny investigation.

Investigators said the larceny occurred at a business in Hornellsville and resulted in the arrest of Jason Loper.

Loper is accused of stealing property valued at more than $3,000. He was found to be in possession of the stolen property at his residence.

Deputies said Loper was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of the stolen property – both felonies.

The charges will be answered at a later date. However, Loper was remanded to the Steuben County Jail due to previous felony convictions.
