Troopers ask for public’s help ID’ing man accused of stealing from Lansing Best Buy

New York State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man implicated in a robbery at Best Buy in Lansing this past weekend.

Troopers say that on Sunday, September 18 around 1:45 p.m., a man shown in surveillance pictures stole a laptop from Best Buy at the Shops at Ithaca off Catherwood Road.

The laptop is a silver HP Envy laptop specifically used by Best Buy employees that can only be accessed with employee credentials, according to State Police.

Police believe the man hid the laptop under his clothing and left the area in a black SUV.
