York man arrested for making terroistic threat against Gov. Hochul

A Livingston County man was arrested for threatening to blow up Governor Kathy Hochul’s office, according to a statement from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

Lynn Cummings, 41, of York, was arrested for making a terroristic threat, a felony charge.

Police say around 4 p.m. on September 9, Sheriff’s deputies responded to Federal Road in the Town of York for a threat directed at the governor’s office.

Authorities learned Cummings had been in contact with the Livingston County Court Clerk’s office.

Cummings allegedly became agitated during that conversation and threatened to blow up the governor’s office.

The Sheriff’s Office says Cummings, following arrest, was transported to the Livingston County Jail.

He was released on his own recognizance as his charges did not qualify for bail under NYS law, according to WROC.
