Troopers say an infant was killed after being struck by a vehicle at a residence in Fayette late-Friday.
State police were called to a residence on Disinter Road in Fayette for the report of a 1-year-old who had been struck by a vehicle.
Police say the operator was attempting to back into the family’s garage when they hit the young child.
Troopers, North Seneca Ambulance, and other agencies responded to the scene, according to a news release from state police.
The infant died after being airlifted by Life Net to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
