Police say a Canandaigua man was charged following a domestic incident at a South Main Street address.

Michael Gordner, 36, of Canandaigua was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, menacing, and unlawful imprisonment.

Investigation revealed that Gordner held his hands over the mouth and nose of a victim to prevent them from breathing. He proceeded to grab the victim by their head and threatened to break their jaw.

Gordner will appear in court at a later date to answer the charges.
