A building fire was reported at Birkett Mills in Penn Yan on Thursday.
While the fire itself was contained to piping in the roaster room of the Seneca Street structure, it still prompted a significant response from first responders.
No injuries were reported. Damage to the structure itself was limited due to the quick response of first responders.
According to Finger Lakes News Radio, Penn Yan firefighters were assisted by crews from Dundee, Benton, Himrod, Branchport-Keuka Park, and Hammondsport.
