Fayette man charged after two-day long domestic incident

A Fayette man was arrested on multiple charges after a domestic incident on Monday.

Richard D. Bruce, 41, of Fayette was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, criminal mischief, unlawful imprisonment, and harassment.


Bruce engaged in a two-day long physical domestic incident with a victim who sustained multiple injuries. After being transported to the Seneca County Jail, Bruce was served with an order of protection ordering him to stay away from the victim.

While inside the Seneca County Correctional Facility, Bruce was additionally charged with aggravated family offense after attempting to contact the victim. He was also charged with criminal contempt.

Bruce is pending arraignment for the new charges.
