Sweet Farm is hosting free ‘Speed Dating Tours’ at their Climate Sanctuary in Himrod next week.
The animal sanctuary recently moved all of its over 140 rescued farm animals from the Bay Area of California to the Finger Lakes region of New York.
During the tours, the public will be introduced to Sweet Farms and learn more about sponsoring loveable creatures like Paco the Llama.

‘Animals Looking For Love: Speed Dating Tours’ at Sweet Farms
Sweet Farm will offer three free, exclusive tours of its farm on Saturday, August 27.
Two tours will be offered in-person at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively. The third tour is a virtual event beginning at 3 p.m.
Sweet Farms is hosting the event to introduce locals to Sweet Farm’s many rescued animals. They hope to find the ‘perfect match’ with sponsors interested in supporting the sanctuary’s mission.
“Have fun and connect with lovable rescued farm animals while supporting Sweet Farm’s mission towards a more compassionate and sustainable future,” said the organization in a release.
Attendence is free: Sign up in advance
A handout with ‘dating profiles’ of all of Sweet Farm’s eligible “bachelors and bachelorettes” will be given to attendees, explained the release.
Then, they will go on a tour of the sanctuary. The event concludes with information on how to sponsor and support the animals.
Attendees who sign up to sponsor an animal during the event will receive a sponsorship certificate and the oppurtunity to get their name on the animal’s barn stall!
Attendance for the event is free, with advance online registration required.
