Deputies: Rose woman arrested after kids, ages 6 and 8, found in road refusing to move for traffic

Police say a 27-year-old Rose woman was arrested for resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child after two young children were found in the middle of a road, refusing to move for vehicles.

Brieanna Scruton, 27, of Rose was charged with resisting arrest and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after police investigation.

Deputies were called to a location in Rose around 7:22 a.m. on Sunday for the complaint of an 8-year-old child in the middle of the road, and a 6-year-old child laying in the road- both refusing to move for vehicles.

The children were not being properly supervised and deputies said it has been reported as an ongoing issue.

When informed Scruton was being arrested- she attempted to flee officers.

Scruton was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment.
