Livingston County names new Grants & Public Information Coordinator

The Livingston County Board of Supervisors has named Sean Farnsworth as the new Grants & Public Information Coordinator, effective today.

Farnsworth comes to the County from St. John Fisher University where he served as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. He brings with him more than 10 years of professional experience in the communications field, having most recently managed the daily operation, organization, and oversight of the University’s athletic department, its nearly 800 student-athletes and its coaching staff. Farnsworth is a strong addition to the County’s communications team, said Livingston County Administrator Ian M. Coyle.

Farnsworth earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher College (now University) before obtaining a master’s degree from SUNY Cortland. He has an extensive background in both media management and grant writing, which he said he’ll use to further the County’s strategic initiatives.

“I plan to continue providing the residents of Livingston County with a forum to interact with. I hope to expand our County social media and continue to find creative ways to engage with our constituents in an impactful way. I’m grateful to County Administrator Coyle and the Board of Supervisors for this opportunity and look forward to getting started soon,” he said.
