The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Arcadia man on a felony rape charge after an investigation in the village of Newark.
According to a news release, Joseph Custer, 40, of Arcadia was charged with first-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges stem from an investigation, which started after Custer’s daughter alleged that he sexually abused her and had sexual intercourse with her when she was under 11.
Custer was transported to the Wayne County Jail and will be arraigned at a later date.
