On Tuesday around 3:20 p.m. deputies responded to a two car crash along with Victor Farmington Fire and EMS at the intersection of State Route 251 and State Route 96.
According to a news release, Ferenc Nagy, 87, of Victor was traveling east on Route 96 when he failed to stop for a traffic signal at the intersection with Route 251.
Tawny Martin, 30, of Rochester was traveling north on Route 251, making a left turn onto Route 96.
Nagy’s vehicle collided with Martin’s resulting in damage to both.
Deputies said both were sent to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. However, Nagy was ticketed for operating without insurance and failing to yield the right of way.
He’s scheduled to appear in local court at a later date to answer the charge.
