Car catches fire in Fayette, man charged with DWI

Police say a Romulus man was arrested following report of a vehicle that caught fire.

According to a news release, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested Elijah D. Prosser, 22, of Romulus for driving while intoxicated.


Deputies responded to the area of State Route 414 and 336 in Fayette for report of a vehicle that had caught fire. Upon investigation, it was determined Prosser crashed the vehicle and was operating it with a BAC of .08 or greater. He was also issued multiple traffic tickets.

Prosser will appear in court at a later date to answer the charges.
