A familiar face is returning to the Bronx.
The New York Yankees acquired infielder/outfielder Tyler Wade from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations, the team announced Thursday.
Wade spent five seasons in the Yankees organization before he was traded to the Angels last offseason. The 27-year-old was designated for assignment on July 3 before he was outrighted to Triple-A.
Wade hit .218/.272/.272 in 67 games with the Angels. He also had eight stolen bases.
With the Yankees, Wade hit .212/.298/.307.
