Walworth woman charged with welfare fraud, grand larceny

Police report the arrest of a Walworth woman following a fraud investigation.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Danielle Fleig, 32, of Walworth for welfare fraud, grand larceny, and offering a false instrument for filing.

Fleig, who was a recipient of Child Care Assistance, failed to report income from another individual living at her residence. As a result, she fraudulently received over $3,000 in benefits that she was not entitled to.

Fleig was remanded to the Wayne County Jail and is pending arraignment.
