The sale of a home in Scipio may be the most expensive ever recorded for a residence on Owasco Lake.
The 4,200-square-foot home at 35 Fire Lane 24 sold for $2,150,000 in April.
The Cayuga County Office of Real Property Services said it has no higher sale price on record, according to The Citizen.

Previously, the priciest home on Owasco Lake was at 6654 East Lake Road in the town of Owasco, which sold for $1,200,000 in 2017.
The Real Estate Agency’s Karissa Thompson sold the Scipio home on behalf of previous owners the Buhl family. The Buhls custom built the home in 2013 but are now looking to downsize.
After 45 days on the market, the Scipio home was sold to a couple from New York City with local ties.
