Are banks open on the Fourth of July?

Independence Day is considered a federal holiday— so most banks will be closed.

What about postal services?

Post offices will be closed on Monday, which means that USPS mail and/or packages will not be delivered.

UPS store locations will be closed with no option for pickup or delivery service.

Some FedEx locations will be closed on Monday. You should contact your local FedEx if you are curious about holiday hours. However, most shipping services will be closed, including home delivery.

The stock market– is that open?

The New York Stock Exchange, will be closed on Monday. Exchanges operated by Nasdaq Inc. will also be closed.

Are government offices closed on Independence Day?

Non-essential federal, state and city government offices will be closed on the Fourth of July.
