A program called THRIVE has been working to help these families when they need it the most.

About Martha’s Table

Martha’s Table has been working to aid the Washington D.C. area for 41 years.

They offer education programs, healthy food access, physical and mental health services, and promote family success.

In 2020, the program worked directly with the community to figure out which areas needed to be targeted the most.

This included quality education family support, health and wellness, and community investments.

Stimulus payments through Martha’s Table in Washington D.C.

Over 100 mothers who live in Wards 5, 7, and 8 will benefit.

This is the program’s third round of assistance, with the first launching in March of 2020.

The latest program provided 590 families with cash assistance of $1,100 per month for 5 months.

Stimulus checks worth $300 for Delaware residents this summer

The application for the latest round closed on March 21, 2022.

Applications were reviewed for eligibility and then participants were chosen using a randomized process.

Once chosen, participants are notified and must submit propert documents including ID, income verification, birth certificate of child or proof of pregnancy and due date.

A total of $10,800 over the course of one year is available.

In addition, families will see access to groceries, children’s and professional clothing for free through Marth’a Table.

They will also be able to enroll their child in education programs, meet other parents, and work on their own education or careers.
