A group of adults in the state of California will see a total of $17,000 in UBI stimulus payments thanks to a new program.
West Hollywood residents who applied and were chosen will soon benefit from the monthly payments of $1,000.
Only 25 people were randomly selected.

Those picked will see $1,000 monthly payments.
The program lasts for 17 months.
This means residents will see payments of $17,000 in all.
There are eligibility requirements for getting the stimulus payments.
First, you must lived in West Hollywood.
$500 payments given monthly in Rochester, New York
Next, you need to be 50 years old or older to see stimulus payments.
All residents could apply regardless of citizenship status.
You must identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, or asexual to qualify.
Your annual household income has to be equal to or less than 50% of the AMI for LA, Long Beach, and Glendale.
The West Hollywood Pilot for Guaranteed Income is sending the stimulus payments out to residents.
In West Hollywood, 43% of the total population idenifies as LGBTQ.
44% of the population living in poverty are adults ages 55 and older.
April 15, 2022 was the first day a payment went out.
