The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce held its June Business After Hours Networking Mixer at Geneva Harley Davidson on Wednesday, June 9. Over 40 people attended the event, many who were pleasantly surprised and impressed as they had never visited the site of the popular motorcycle dealership, located at 1103 Rtes. 5 & 20 in Geneva.
Originally built in 1975 by brothers John and Jim Malyj, Geneva Harley Davidson was located next to what was Malyj Auto Service on Route 14A across from the former Tops Market, (which is now the newly opened Real Eats building.) After a move and expansion in 2003, the new facility offers over 20,000 square feet of Harley cycles for both sales and service, and a grand showroom featuring gifts, apparel and various collectibles- including housewares and pet accessories. Today, the business is owned and operated by Alan Malyj along with his wife, Anna.

During the Chamber’s networking event, attendees enjoyed meeting and conversing with Alan and Anna Malyj who talked about the history of the family business and how its grown to what it now has become today. The couple stressed that they welcome anyone and everyone in to visit, including those who might not be, or who are toying with the slightest interest or have some curiosity about what Harley Davidson and its brand, products and famed following is all about. Guests also enjoyed refreshments, with beer by Big Alice and catering provided by C&B Roasters. At the conclusion of the event, a group photo and a Chamber drawing took place, which featured a host gift bag with Harley Davidson branded items.
The next Business After Hours Networking Mixer will be hosted by Finger Lakes Radio Group on Wednesday July 13 from 5 -7 PM. Admission is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers, and is included for all 2022 BAH Season Pass Holders. Reservations are required one week in advance.
