The Child Tax Credit in Connecticut will allow you to claim up to $250 per child. However, there is a three child limit– making the maximum $750.
Any Connecticut residents that have claimed a dependent child that is 18 or younger on their tax 2021 tax return might be eligible. However there are maximum income limits:
- single or married filing separately- $100,000
- head of household- $169,000
- married filing jointly- $200,000
Connecticut’s Department of Revenue Services estimates that more than 300,000 residents will qualify. You can apply online— the application will be open from June 1- July 31. It is thought that the checks will be sent in August.
