First responders report a single car crash at Purity Ice Cream on Cascadilla Street.
According to a news release from the Ithaca Police Department, a vehicle crashed into the northern side of the ice cream shop.
The vehicle caused significant damage to the building and fencing around the parking lot.
The Ithaca Fire Department, Bangs Ambulance, and Building Department assisted at the scene before the vehicle was removed from the building.
The driver was ticketed for causing the crash. No serious injuries were reported.
