If you drive any of these cars then you should keep reading.

The company Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for several of their vehicles.

An article by Kelly Blue Book says that this alert is due to a hardware problem that may stop the car from automatically calling for help in an emergency.

The following are the car models being recalled

  • GLB
  • GLC
  • GLE
  • GLS
  • S-Class
  • SL
  • SLC
  • A-Class
  • AMG GT
  • C-Class
  • CLA
  • CLS
  • E-Class
  • G-Class
  • GLA

There are around 235,000 vehicles affected by this alert.

The only models that are affected were made from 2017 through 2022.

If you have one of these cars there is no way you can tell if the issue affects it because it is caused by the SIM card in the SOS system.

The company will be contacting buyers through the mail.

If you want a quicker fix you can call 800-367-6372 to set up an appointment to get a free software update to fix the issue.

Some of the affected cars can even receive an over-the-air update so they won’t need to go to a dealership.
