On Wednesday, the Penn Yan Mustangs battled the Livonia-Avon Lakers to decide a Section V Class D champion at Canandaigua Academy. The Mustangs were able to come out victorious by a score of 8-6.
The Lakers led at halftime 4-3, but the Mustangs were able to fire back in the second half including four 4th quarter goals. Teegan Fingar lead the way for Penn Yan, netting a hat trick and adding an assist. Justin Skelly and Jackson McEnerney both added 2 goals and an assist for Livonia Avon.
Livonia-Avon ends its season with a record of 13-6. The Mustangs move on to the Far West Regional in Williamsville on Saturday.
